Harrisburg Mandolin Ensemble

The HARRISBURG MANDOLIN ENSEMBLE is creating its own arrangements, drawing from traditional folk, bluegrass, swing, jazz, and original material.  A few of our pieces can be downloaded as demo mp3s.  Our current repertoire includes: 

ALL BLUES--An arrangement of the Miles Davis classic with a triple-mando centerpiece. 
BERMUDA-FULL--A Caribbean-flavored instrumental composed by hammered dulcimist Walt Michael.

FLATBUSH WALTZ/NATASHA'S WALTZ--A medley of two ethnically-tinged compositions by mandolin greats Andy Statman and Norman Blake. 
HALF MOON DOG--A new acoustic instrumental composed by Matt Flinner. 
LOST IN YOUR EYES--A swinging bluesy arrangement of a great song by Peter Case. 
MANDO BULL - From the repertoire of the Mando Mafia 
MONROE MEDLEy--Affectionately subtitled "Forgive Us, Bill," a medley of 5 of our favorite Bill Monroe instrumentals.

PETITE FLEUR--A mesmerizing Sidney Bechet tune. 
RUSSIAN MEDLEY--A medley of "Russian Lullaby," "Russian Rag," and "Dark Eyes."

SOMETHING SNAPPY - An instrumental from The Eicher Family Band. 
SUNNY SIDE OF THE STREET--Jaunty swing standard sung by HME mandolist Tom Cook, inspired by Peggy Lee's recording with Benny Goodman.
